Best Part Of Playing Amateur Baseball: A chance to continue playing baseball in Springfield with good friends

Thoughts On Kyle Kraska: I remember picking up a bat for the first time in nearly a year last summer to take batting practice, hoping to find my swing again. Pitching to me from about 40' away was Kyle, who I had never met and he probably didn't know I was a little rusty. I was just hoping to make contact at that point, yet Kyle felt the need to throw 90 mph and mix in his off speed pitches and bean balls. Needless to say, my first impression of the guy was not complimentary. I worked at the baseball field last summer where Kyle occasionally came down to give me some pointers for my job and sometimes even volunteer his time to help me with work. He also came down to Legion practice to give everyone advice, including myself. I remember completely changing my view of Kyle Kraska throughout the summer. He has always tried to help me with my baseball play (even when I didn't realize it) along with my job, and for that I can only say thank you Kyle. You are a generous and helpful guy.

Other baseball experience (coaching, other teams): I have played on all of Springfield's youth summer teams and school teams while growing up from T-Ball to Legion and now Amateur Ball. I played midgets in Clements and have coached summer rec. baseball in Springfield.

Favorite Baseball Memory: A couple of 1 or 2 hitters in Legion and growing up having something to do in the summers.

Worst Baseball Memory: Getting hit by a 1 hopping line drive in the ribs and being beaned in the exact same spot in the same inning
