The Tigers batted nine in their half of the second, putting together three walks and three hits to plate six runs. Chris Sturm provided the biggest blast with a bases clearing double, making the score 8-1.

The Lakers kept battling, scoring single runs off Nachreiner in the bottom of the second and third innings. Frank took over on the mound in the bottom of the fourth inning. Mountain Lake kept putting up runs, getting one in the fourth and two in the fifth, pulling within two, 8-6.
